Career

  1. 2025–now

Principal Engineer & Managing Consultant · KitFox Labs · Linean

Independent practice through KitFox Labs, partnering with Linean on public-sector and healthcare software in Kern County: grant management for a California state agency and a medical billing platform for a county education agency.

  2. 2022–2025

Software Development Engineer II · Amazon

Launched a service orchestrating payments from legacy systems into Amazon’s payables platform. Designed a native AWS service automating approval workflows for manual transactions.

  3. 2021–2022

    Owner · Pumpoff Software

Solo consultancy. Integrated legacy artificial-lift platforms with Ambyint’s AI optimization SaaS, enabling $2.4MM in sales.

  4. 2020–2021

Software Development Engineer II · Amazon

Helped take Amazon’s Accounts Payable service live: serverless, fault-tolerant, streaming. Led a reporting-service redesign that cut operational load.

  5. 2018–2020

Lead Developer, Data Science · Theta Oilfield Services

Invented multivariate trend anomaly detection and classification for electric submersible pumps in XSPOC, monitoring $100M+ in oilfield equipment. Built the framework to 50+ classifications across ESP, rod lift, and gas lift; shipped the manage-by-exception system featured as the new face of the product.

  6. 2017–2018

Lead Developer, XSPOC · Theta Oilfield Services

Product architect; led a team of five through two major releases of the leading well monitoring and optimization platform. Designed a root-cause failure analysis system for artificial lift equipment.

  7. 2016–2017

Lead Developer, Artificial Lift · Theta Oilfield Services

Led development of XSPOC’s first gas lift and ESP analysis products, enabling $3MM ARR across thousands of US wells.

  8. 2016

Software Developer · Theta Oilfield Services

Built multiphase flow analysis for electric submersible pumps. Dozens of those engineering models still underpin multiphase analysis in XSPOC.

Theta Oilfield Services built XSPOC, used by five of the six major E&P operators; now part of SLB via Apergy and ChampionX.

B.S. Computer Science (2019) and M.S. Data Analytics (2020), Western Governors University.
